The right book to read after 10 years in the consulting industry and wanting to go for partner

The planning and time frame is quite extensive and Townsend outlines the strategy, the development of plans and how to engage the right people in order to be successful.
Throughout the book there are many quotes, tips, points, actions and resources on what to do and how to do it. The book is very practical and includes additional resources that you can utilise as part of your journey to partner. This is a great book which I recommend to anyone serious about making partner in a Big 4 firm. The process of going from individual executor and fee earner with high chargeable targets to sourcing and executing your own client portfolio isn't always easy or transparent. This book gives practical, honest advice about how to go about making this transition.
